The New Ulm EDA is thrilled to announce a special feature celebrating local businesses that are dedicated to investing in our community. It is vital to acknowledge and support companies that continue to thrive as we navigate through a dynamic landscape.
Patterson’s Jewelers is making a difference through its continued investment in New Ulm. The company recently completed an exterior remodeling project on its storefront after a vehicle ran into it almost two years ago. They also replaced the interior carpet, some jewelry cabinets, and their point-of-sale system. Patterson’s recently celebrated their 75th anniversary. Pat Patterson, the original owner, went to watchmaker school after World War II and opened a store in Sleepy Eye in 1949. The New Ulm store opened in 1963. A second generation, Doug and Kevin Patterson, took over the operations and expanded into Mankato in the early 1980s. Now in its third generation, Ben Patterson oversaw the remodel of the New Ulm store. They are proud to remain an independent, family-owned and operated small business.
The recent remodeling of the New Ulm store was an investment of roughly $65,000. Several local businesses were involved in the project, including ARR Construction, Nosbush Glass, Paint Boy, Puhlmann Lumber & Design, Sid’s Signs, and Tony Ruch Electric.
The New Ulm EDA is dedicated to fostering community engagement and supporting local businesses. Our goal is to create a thriving local economy by highlighting and celebrating the efforts of businesses that invest in our community.
