The New Ulm EDA is thrilled to announce a special feature celebrating local businesses that are dedicated to investing in our community. It is vital to acknowledge and support companies that continue to thrive as we navigate through a dynamic landscape.
United Commercial Upholstery completed a large expansion project last year. The nearly $2 million expansion increased the size of the company’s building from 43,000 sf to just over 60,000 sf. They continue to invest in our community and provide job opportunities for local residents. This expansion strengthens their business and supports the economic vitality of our region. They relocated their business from Nicollet to New Ulm in 2013 and have increased their workforce from 13 employees to over 40 in just over ten years.
The expansion had a ripple effect on the local economy, stimulating growth in surrounding businesses and increasing demand for local services. Local businesses such as Farasyn Construction, Heidersheidt Digging, Klassen, MR Paving, and NU Current Electric benefited from working on the project. We applaud them for their investment in our community. Their growth has contributed to the economic vitality of our community.
The New Ulm EDA is dedicated to fostering community engagement and supporting local businesses. Our goal is to create a thriving local economy by highlighting and celebrating the efforts of businesses that continue to invest in our community.
