Southern Minnesota Tooling completed a large expansion project last year. The $1.3 million expansion doubled the size of the company’s building from 10,000 sf to 20,000 sf. The added space will enhance their production capacity and enable the introduction of innovative products that meet growing market demands. This expansion aligns with the company’s commitment to technological advancement, positioning it as a key player in the manufacturing sector. They continue to invest in our community and provide job opportunities for local residents. This expansion strengthens their business and supports the economic vitality of our region.

The expansion had a ripple effect on the local economy, stimulating growth in surrounding businesses and increasing demand for local services. Local businesses such as ARR Construction, Farasyn Construction, GSM, NU Current Electric, MR Paving, and River Creek Nursery benefited by working on the project. We applaud them for their investment in our community. Their growth is a testament to the strength of our local economy and workforce.

The plastic injection molds, fixtures, and special machines designed and built at Southern Minnesota Tooling assists companies from Parker Hannifin and Windings here in town to others throughout the United States manufacture parts and devices used in medical, defense, industrial, automotive, and even in space.
