New Ulm EDA Highlights Local Businesses’ Commitment to Community

The New Ulm EDA is thrilled to announce a special feature celebrating local businesses that are dedicated to investing in our community. It is vital to acknowledge and support companies that continue to thrive as we navigate through a dynamic landscape.
In a significant move to enhance healthcare services in the region, New Ulm Medical Center broke ground in August on a $10 million surgical center expansion. This project aims to upgrade facilities and increase surgical capacity, ultimately benefiting both patients and the local economy. The expansion should be completed by the end of 2025.
The economic implications of this project are substantial. Local businesses such as Full Service Electric, Klassen Plumbing & Heating, and Laraway Roofing will also benefit by working on the project. Furthermore, by enhancing the hospital’s capabilities, the expansion aims to retain more patients within the community, reducing the need for residents to seek surgical services in distant facilities. This retention not only improves patient care but also ensures that healthcare dollars stay within the local economy. The expansion not only signifies a commitment to advancing healthcare services but also to foster community well-being.
The New Ulm EDA is dedicated to fostering community engagement and supporting local businesses. Our goal is to create a thriving local economy by highlighting and celebrating the efforts of businesses that invest in our community.
