Why did you choose to open your business in New Ulm? My husband was born here and raised in the area, so we decided to move here to raise our own family and begin our childcare business.
How has the New Ulm EDA/newulmbusiness.com helped you with your business startup? They have provided resources, trainings, and last year, provided transportation to St. Peter to the listening sessions about the new draft legislations.
Tell us something exciting about your business. Little Arrows Peak is a faith-based childcare that provides family-oriented and child-centered care. My goal is to provide a clean, healthy, and safe environment where children can develop physically, socially, emotionally, and intellectually. My program creates a nurturing, loving Christian environment offering developmental growth through individual/group experience, play, and exploration. We enjoy reading books in Spanish and English, and using Baby Sign Language to help bridge the communication gap.
What advice do you have for anyone else thinking of starting a business in New Ulm? In my one year of business, I have learned that we have such a wonderful community. So many supportive parents and businesses. I have had a positive experience in starting a business in New Ulm because there is never a lack of support and education to help my business continue to thrive.
