It’s Fasching in New Ulm as proclaimed by the Narren early Friday afternoon! The Narren kicked off the festivities early Friday afternoon by capturing Mayor Kathleen Backer and parading her through downtown New Ulm to various establishments and businesses dressed in the traditional Fasching rags and attire. Rags also adorn the light poles in downtown New Ulm.
