Rural MN Childcare Tour

Kids Count On Us: Rural MN Childcare Tour included an event held at the New Ulm Community Center on August 21, 2023.   The St. Paul-based organization ISAIAH, along with the New Ulm Economic Development Authority (NUEDA), hosted the event to provide interested community members  an opportunity to view the documentary film “Labor of Love” followed by discussion of the child care needs in our community.  Minnesota legislators who participated in this event included our local representative, Representative Paul Torkelson, as well as Representative Nathan Coulter and Senator Nicole Mitchell.    Renovation is currently underway at New Ulm’s Westridge Place, which will be home to four licensed child care providers leasing space in a new child care facility created for our community.
