Why did you choose to open your business in New Ulm?
I chose to open my business in New Ulm because there was a pod room opening at Westridge Place, my kids attend school in New Ulm, and there is a high demand for childcare in the area.
How has the New Ulm EDA/newulmbusiness.com helped you with your business startup?
The EDA helped me get all my insurance requirements met and they provided me with resources to help start up my childcare business.
Tell us something exciting about your business.
Something exciting about my childcare business is that I started my program in one pod room and now my program has expanded to two pod rooms in the lower level at Westridge Place.
Have you cooperated/contracted with any other local businesses or people during your startup?
Yes, I worked closely with Brown County Licensing Staff.
What advice do you have for anyone else thinking of starting a business in New Ulm?
My advice for anyone who is thinking about starting a business in New Ulm is to get in contact with the EDA office and they will give you many different resources to help you start your business.
